Now this seems silly but there seems to be all sorts of commotion with this website so I thought i'd try it out

    So . . . . . . . . . I ordered a 5 tree mini orchard and a season long Blueberry collection

The orchard containing: 1 cherry - Stella
Apple - Brae burn 1 Conference pear 1 Bramley apple and a Victoria plum

Everyone has given this website bad or even terrible reviews so i lost hope until the trees turned up all wrapped nicely and healthy with fat buds, Fiborous fruits and very much alive wood, So ive planted, watered, tied, staked, covered and fertilised the hole of which they have been planted so now im waiting. So at this point your thinking well whats the problem,, well: the reviews also said that the plants sometimes were delivered and were healthy but the trees failed to thrive so my question is, What are your experiences :S ?????? help????

I have ordered exactly the same as you Johsie. Thay came in good condition and were planted November last. Obviously I'll have to wait till spring to comment on their growth!

            I'm missing something aren't I?

What website? Are you being very coy, or is it obvious?

The varieties supplied are not very disease-resistant in an organic or "no-spray" situation.
Commercial growers use many sprays to keep their trees healthy - and the varieties supplied are common commercial varieties.

The Braeburn may be prone to mildew and scab.

Bramley is gradually losing scab resistance, as it is so widely grown that the diseases are now adapting.

Conference is also losing scab resistance, and pears in general don't have much resistance to canker.

Victoria is quite prone to canker and silver leaf.

                      .............................................

The ability of the trees to thrive would also depend on which rootstock they are growing on.
Many of the "dwarf" rootstocks need a lot or care (regular feeding, watering, chemical sprays) otherwise they are overwhelmed by competing plants and pests/diseases.
                      .

If people have a problem, they tend to go online and shout about it

If you get good service, you might not bother going online to write about it

Had a 4 tree pack last year which was planted late winter. One never grew at all, one started to grow and was then hit by a late frost and never recovered. The other two are doing great. I contacted garden bargains early Nov and have since received two replacement trees without any hassel. Have had no problems with dealing with this company.
