I was thinking about it, but decided to wait until next year. I understand you need two to set fruit.

I had one a couple of years ago. Only needed one plant. Fruits were pretty tasteless so wouldn't bother again.

I made that mistake with ONE of those last year!

I'm growing them this year. I've read that the seed can be quite variable and some taste better than others. I've got 5/6 plants, so if that's the case I'll just keep the best of the selection. The seem a bit slower than other stuff. The peppers/aubergines I grow all have the first sign of buds at the size the pepino plants are now.

I've cheated- the plant I bought yesterday is about 16" high and 12" wide and is smothered in pretty purple flowers- must be at least 40 of them!!!

Never eaten one, so this should be interesting!

True, but only if the summer is long enough for them to fruit and ripen, fingers crossed

I have read they are perennial and fruit better in their 2nd year...if you can keep them indoors over the winter then you may well get a superb crop!
