I have a small flower bed which I blitzed with Roundup to get rid of bindweed back in May. There is no new growth so I think it's done the job! I'm wondering whether it would be safe to dig it over and replant it with perennials yet?

I thought that Round up was supposed to only kill the weeds/unwanted plants that had been sprayed and then when the harmful aspects of it comes into contact with the soil it is deemed to be harmless? Or am I just nuts?My new website for allotment beginners www.theallotmentshed.co.uk

I wouldn't use any chemical on my veggie areas, but I have sprayed some Round Up around the weeds surrounding my paths and the fence. I am always very careful about using anything that could be harmful to humans or my dog (Stitch). My new website for allotment beginners www.theallotmentshed.co.uk
