I'm not sure if I'm contravening any forum rules here (I've checked, but can't find anything), but I am in need of your help.
I live in a little village called Harlington in Bedfordshire, close to Junction 12 of the M1. Some of you may or may not be aware that Luton Town Football Club is proposing a new 25,000 seat stadium on our doorstep. That in itself is bad enough, but within the development they are also planning warehousing and distribution totalling 125 acres. The perimeter of which will be yards from my house.
The area is on Green Belt land, and the fear is that once this development gets going, it will open the door for others in the area, and pretty soon lots of lovely countryside will be lost forever.
At the risk of sounding like a NIMBY, I can catagorically say that I for one, don't want the development to go ahead, and I know that a lot of Luton residents and fans who don't want their stadium 8 miles away, but the more support I can rustle up the better.
If I could be so bold, I would appreciate it if you would visit the Harlington website and sign the petition.

If you would like to read more about the development, the website also has an update page: http://www.harlington.net/cms/pages/...evelopment.php
If you are willing to put your name against the development, I for one will be grateful, and I know many others in the village would thank you if they could.
Many thanks for reading.
