I just made some habanero hot sauce
I have consumed roughly 3 litres of it since around August!
Here is how I made it, also see pics:
Pour a bottle of cider vinegar into pan, along with one cup of water, a big splash of lime juice, and several tablespoonfuls of sugar.
Heat until sugar melted.
Then throw in 1 x roughly chopped onion, several cloves of roughly chopped garlic, and approx 15 roughly chopped habaneros.
simmer until soft (approx 15 minutes).
Pour into blender, whizz it all up, and pour into sterilised bottles.
This makes quite a thin sauce. For a slightly thicker sauce, just add a chopped bell pepper into the pan with all the other ingredients.
Done.
