  • Blaby special tomato

This heritage tomato variety was rescued last year and some 900 packets of seed were distributed countrywide.

Does anybody have a couple of seeds spare or know of a source?

    In anticipation.

Have you emailed the chap who did the original "rescuing"? Dr Russell Sharp, on r.sharp at lancaster.ac.uk

I child-proofed my house, but they still manage to get in.

I emailed him as well but got no answer. If anyone gets any at all i would to try them even if its only three or four.
Theres also another variety of tom thats coming back in circulation again, Its a Manx variety and anyone who applies who lives in the Isle of Man will get some, name Manx Marvel i think.

Iv'e been after a few of these seeds for over a year as well, I mailed Dr Sharpe early last year when the original appeal for growers went out, he had run out of seed then.

Put me down for a couple of seeds this time next year Pigletwillie.
