  • Tomato Seed Circle 2016

C'mon, you know you want to join there's nothing better than a parcel through the door around Christmas time full of seeds there's no better present. Everyone welcome.

Save 2 varieties of tomatoes (no F1's) with 4-6 seeds per pack. Last year we had to save 12 packs of each variety.

No pressure, register your interest - and the tomatoes you fancy saving if you know what you are going to grow

#things don't often go to plan while growing so you can change your mind on what varieties you are saving. Remember there's loads of seeds in a cherry Tom, so you only have to save one or two but you do have to label them!

Tips here for seed saving : http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...ml#post1397063

Yeah I am up for it,
I know for sure i am in for Gold rush currant, i have just saved 1000´s and have been isolated so 100% have not been crossed, as i know currant tomatoes are a little harder.

I can do 100´s and 1000´s and so many others
I grow 70% for us and 30% for the snails, then the neighbours eats them

I ordered very naughtly the other day lots which only have a few seeds per packets are none F´s so will hopefully get some of those, like indigo rose, indigo blue berries, artisan purple, the list goes on and on but who knows what will fail, i had a bad year last year, due to my own stupid mistakes

            I'd like to take part.

As an opening gambit I'll propose to save Gartenperle and Chocolate Cherry. Hopefully things will go to plan.

For once I haven't a clue what varieties. Will choose some in a couple of weeks when I remind myself what I have.

I'm in, I've currently got Indigo Blue, Marmonde, Red Pear and San Marzano on the go and I'll be looking for some more interesting ones at the weekend.

I've also got tomatillos which aren't toms but similar if you're interested?

Neil, hello welcome to the vine you are more than welcome to join although we do have some seed swap/circle guidelines. You have to be a member for more than 3months and made 50 posts which is easily done by Christmas.

                              http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...nce_76437.html

Have you looked at Planetologist seed circle? You could join both, Tomatillos would work well in that along with something else.
