  • Christmas Day Chat thread 2019

A special chat thread just for 25th December.

Don't be alone on Christmas Day - if you want to chat I'll be here most of the time. If the last thing you want on the 25th is to talk to me, I'm sure there'll be some sensible Grapes here too.

All welcome to join our virtual party. Bring a bottle, red wine preferably.

Jemisons whiskey here for making an Irish coffee.
I will pop in and out during the day.
        Enjoy the chat.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Morning all. Been AWOL for a bit but wouldn't be Christmas without grapes (and some mature cheese ). Just finished assisting father Christmas with delivery of presents, so off to bed. Nadolig Llawen to you all, might get a chance to catch up about 9pm tomorrow. Hope you all have the Christmas that suits you best, or at least one you can survive!
            Another happy Nutter...

                Morning and Happy Christmas everyone

You are welcome to the schnapps I got and there is also some wine (seeing as it no longer likes me), I'll stick to the odd beer.

Good morning all and a Happy Christmas.
Hubby is in the kitchen doing a full Irish so that's a good start to the day,
                  Catch you all later.

                    Morning all - Merry Christmas...
Cold-ish this morning - still, better than yesterday when I almost drowned building my new green-tunnel-house at the plot.
Forced out of bed at 8.00 to let the cats in. Would still be asleep if allowed. (Can't remember agreeing to this sort of malarkey when I signed up to marriage with Mrs Balders but hey ho)

Morning All and Happy Christmas/Wednesday/weeding day in Leaves week.

It bright and sunshiny here but not as warm as Can the Canary islander is feeling. Lucky thing!! Don't forget to bring back some seeds - and I don't mean bird seed.

I have a little Christmas Day challenge for you.
Step outside into your garden and find 5 Flowers. You don't have to pick them, just tell us what they are and wish them Merry Christmas from us all.

                              Happy Christmas, guys.

Flowers: wild rocket (much wailing and gnashing of teeth), rapeseed (not so much of that, so a mild bout of wailing, no gnashing of teeth), rosemary and heather and... not here but just up the way... almond blossom. The last of these is a bit worrying, but the rosemary and heather typically flower here at this time of year. Lovely to see. The plants seem to take it in turn, coming in waves of flower. Brilliant for the bees.

Hope you all have a lovely day.
