I havn't made my own polytunnel but have made my own pallet greenhouse. The overall costs were about £50 for screws, joining metal bits (dont know the actual terminology) , anchors and uv treated plastic. Its great to have somewhere to grow undercover on the plot!
yes, very much thow together with what we had got, pics 2,3,4,are of how it started life down the lottie, cost time effort and paint, the 1st pic is now at home and altered,by extending the with between the wood frame and the height using some plastic pipe, the only cost to us was a few longer screws, the cover was a secondhand gift from a friend, all materials used had been previously scrounged by my MR,i know it's not posh, but it works for me,
another one we made a few year ago,all out of scrounged pallets and other suitable wood, together with frames from a window supplier,a few screws and paint,a lot of effort and planning out with what we had and added to more scrounged things as they became available, thanks again to my MR,
Fantastic Lottie. Just shows what you can do with some time, effort and ingenuity. The PTs look great.
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.
Great job Lottie, wait till he's back on his feet & building Mark III................
