Today I noticed these while walking around the seed isle in wilko's
    you get a choice of
    jalapeno pepper
    basil
    sage
    green bean
    cherry tomato
    cucumber
    globe tomato
    romaine lettuce
    spinach
    snap pea
    sweet pepper
    watermelon
    etc.
    Gro-ables
has anybody tried these seeds ???

Bet they are not cheap, so easy to make your own and you will get 100x seeds to make more for other years
I grow 70% for us and 30% for the snails, then the neighbours eats them

Sorry as I see that it's just a way of making a lot of money from new gardeners.................

I like the guaranteed to grow. Just pop in the ground, water then several months later harvest.

        Groables Seed Pods

Instead of the sow, sow again as it rotted off because of the weather, sow again as the slug ate it, sow in a pot, faff about, plant out, sow again as it decided to keel over from too much nurturing

Edit: Sorry, in answer to the question. No I have not tried them.

We got these in last month and at first I thought it was great but then I noticed there was only one seed in the pod for £2.99 and what makes it definate that the seed inside is viable? If I buy a pack of 10 and one dosent grow then no big deal but if your pending you hopes on this one expencive seed and nothing happend I for one wouldnt be a happy bunny.

I dont think they will sell and I would never recommend one to a customer as they are novelty.

Yes its expensive and yes it is to encourage people who have no experience of GYO but hopefully some of the people who buy these do look into seeds. advice and site such as this and get the bug to try other things.

I saw them in my local wilkos, and my first thought was that they were a biodegradable feminine hygiene product! They look identical to a mooncup (dont google if you dont like knowing about that sort of stuff!).
I thought they were very expensive for what they are.
