  • Urine as a fertiliser ????

    Hi,
A while back i noticed a link that told you how to use urine as a fertiliser, but now that i want to investigate further, i can't seem to find it. Could someone please point me in the right direction, and if anyone uses it, does it really work??

    thanks in advance.

It's a good job those days of fishing out the fag ends from the stand ups are long gone. Cheers, Tony.

Been doing it for years and keep a pee-pot in the shed. Saves trailing through the house with muddy shoes and the brassicas love it. If you mix it with wood ash it makes an excellent NPK fertilizer.

Ah, but we can wear long skirts, and just squat down to casually admire a pretty flower ...

                    and there's the she-pee

(I keep a bucket in the shed though)

A disposable one! It would compost, too! The last time I looked the ones being offered for cyclists (the only time I might need one would be on a charity ride) were plastic - you wouldn't want to go twice on a ride and who wants that in a bag with your puncture repair kit.

When I'm riding, I just go you can't hide with 650Kg of horse! I take the view that if people are sad enough to look then they are the ones with the problem.

I just keep lots of little buckets around but we are very private here.

Thanks to TS (or Dai Shed as she's known here ) I'm using it neat now which means it all gets used straight away on plants that need it.

PS. I just don't have enough time to say hello to everyone as they join so please take this as a delighted to see you here!

                          I am truly honoured *blush

I'm so busy these days that mine gets chucked straight over the garden: no brown patches of dead grass so far

I've just bought a couple of these plastic watering cans in Morrisons reduced to 50p. They seem an ideal shape for ladies for the collection of liquid gold. Narrow enough to fit where you need it to and with a pouring spout! The Swedish store sell them for about 79p.
