most traditional "winter veggies" would need to have been started off earler but I expect you can get some cauliflower / PSB / leeks etc plugs from garden centres etc. But this year the weather has been so poor everything seems to be behind anyway. I'd give beetroot, perpetual spinach and chard a go. I intend to plant up an ex-garlic bed with some pak choi.

This winter I tried: Cabbage red and green (green eaten by moths, red doing ok but not hearting up wel) radish.........whoa those things can grow! Miini globe carrots, did really well. Two leeks came up! The lone beetroot is awesome. Some Pak choi is doing really well. The red mignonette lettuce isn't doing well....but that may be due to the cabbage that they are growing with. Apparently they don't like each other and I didn't realise it.Ali
