Going to sow some of these yellow pear shaped tomatoes in the greenhouse in March from the seeds we got from the magazine..
Never tried growing them before, are they a nice tomato.?
I really like this variety, especially for patio growing. It’s not the best flavoured cherry tomato out there but makes up for it by being both highly decorative and massively productive.
I've grown these a few times and they are very productive. If my memory serves me right, they are quite delicate seedlings with not much root at first but they seem to make up for it later with trusses of 60+ fruit.
Flavour's OK, I defined it a "bright" which I think meant that it was not too tart but also not mealy.
I wasn’t impressed with the flavour of Ildi when I grew it. But it was my first year in the polytunnel and I definitely made some mistakes so maybe it’s worth a try.
