Invasive plant

Hi there.
I am new to the Grapevine and I need some help. I am at my daughters garden ( she has just moved in). Can anybody identify the plant on these photos. There is some thought that it might be Russian Vine (mile a minute).
And how can we get rid. The roots seem to be taking over everything!! .

get the hedgetrimmer on it to start with and cut it down to ground level. then tackle it on your terms . I wish there was a really evil smiley.
