I bought a Big Boy tomato plant from the garden centre and re potted it in a large clay pot. It has grown well but this week has become very droopy. it is well watered (not too much I hope) and is living in our conservatory which gets plenty of daytime sun although it can be chilly in the evenings. The leaves are curled but my book said this was ' a good sign'. There is one truss starting and I have removed lots of side shoots. I haven't fed it yet and really don;t know what can be wrong with it. The much smaller Gardner's Delight which is sitting next to the Big Boy is in perfect health. I wondered if I should bring it into the lounge tonight although my husband will go bonkers if he sees it, he says the garden is taking over everywhere. Would welcome help please!!!

How large is the large pot? I don't really like using clay pots, they draw the moisture out of the compost. Plus, if you've moved the plant straight from a small to a really large pot it will take some time to settle and get it's roots into the new compost.
Got any pictures of the poorly plant?

Sometimes you get leaves curling up because it prevents transpiration of moisture from the whole expanse of leaf, this usually happens if the plant's roots aren't sufficient in proportion to the amount of leaf. It sorts itself out soon enough, but protection from strong sun for a few days will help. If that's what is happening, the leaves won't feel floppy and dead - the stalk/spine usually still feels quite firm, just curled under.
