    I do have some Citric acid after all - but its best before May 2006 Anyone know if its still OK. Looks quite dry in its tub

      I big packet of white powder in an unmarked cardboard box was just opened by me wildly wielding a pair of scissors! - I thought it was some felt pens that I'd ordered! A messy disaster has just been averted but my teenage son was eyeing me suspiciously and so was his friend! "It's not drugs, son, it's acid" I said "Err, isn't acid a drug Mum?" Good Grief - rolleyes smiley that I've forgotten how to do

        Going back to the original topic of the thread, I can recommend the River Cottage Preserves book.

        We have made several out of this, our favorite is the Sweet Red Pepper and Chilli Jelly. We normally make gallons of the stuff.
