When you plant them out will the bed have treated & untreated sections so that the trial can continue to see if there is any difference in total weight of produce Zaz ?He who smiles in the face of adversity,has already decided who to blame

I agree with VC and Alldigging in that it looks pretty close, and in some of your photos A looks best and in some (but less overall) B looks best...Confused.comI dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....

Anyway, A was compost without biochar and B was with biochar. Photos are on the other mac, with the labels revealed so will post after tomorrow's adventures in the garden.

My squash and cucumber plants with biochar/without biochar are looking pretty similar at the moment, I've potted them on tonight still keeping to with and without. They're moving to the polytunnel tomorrow and will be planted in there in a week or two, with biochar in the planting holes for the 'with' batch.
