      • I think I will try this not only on my seedlings but also on my tricky seedlings which like cold stratification as I've read that it helps not only with germination, strong plant growth but also with overwintering so should strike all three on my overwintering sown capers. Worth a try do you think?
I have a big tub to use. Reminds me of coal chippings.

        • It would be good if you could leave one untreated - as a comparison. Otherwise, you won't know whether its a benefit or not

          • Oh I'm sure that if the capers die then it will answer my question.

I've been kindly given a tub so will be trialling this with rock dust, worm compost and no additives. Should be interesting.

Oh dear. VVG's seedlings and crops are much better than mine!

                              • Since whatever I say is going to be wrong.........I think you are more scientific and analytical, Zaz - while VVG is blessed with greenfingers and can grow anything to perfection without the need of any extras.
                                I'll get my coat..............
