  • Is it good?

    Hi,

I have a 5' trough and in it i have strawberries, raspberries and other fruits i'd like to make sure are good this year. If i was to take a bag/box of soil from nearby field that has been freshly spread could i use that in my trough? and, if i mixed it with the compost from last year, use it for potato bags?
I work on rented land off a farmer. I got talking to him and just as a joke i told him i was going to nick some of his field to put in my trough. Espeically after he'd spread his muck.
    He said it'd be fine.

Are his fields usually full of weeds? (the ones around me are). If yes, then all those weeds are going to come up in your trough
