Last Autumns leave

Hi All

Ive created a few raised beds. Filled with bits of pots, then soil, compost and a bit of grit. It still looks a bit on the light side. Ive leaves from autumn in a few builders sacks composting. Could/Should I dig one of these in to bulk up this beds.

Is exactly what I have used them for. All of my beds have layers of leaves-forming leaf mold-and are topped of with compost. Generally though, leaf mold takes ages to cook down and form beautiful dark dirt. I have this at the bottom where it has all started to degrade down. So the options are yours. To retain in the builders bags, covered over so that the bacteria keeps warm and productive; breaking down the leaves. Or put into the raised beds, cover with compost and let it cook that way. That said, that might make things difficult for veg that needs no obstructions to grow. I collected what felt like tonnes and tonnes last year. But is all being put to good use

Seems to be a fair bit of wildlife in the bag i was thinking of using slater etc. They wont do any harm?
No idea how they got in there

If you mean wiggly woo's, they are very useful. The occasional wood louse never hurt anyone either
