Hi, I am completely new to all this so I thought I'd try a wine or cider kit first.Has anyone got any reccomendations for a complete novice and can anyone suggest a good web site?

I started off with a quick (6 week?) kit from Boots (they don't do them any more, but Wilko do if you have one nearby).
With a kit you'll learn about what works and doesn't, then you can go on to starting from scratch.

To make cider is simple. Apple juice and a bit of yeast. Thats it.
If you have a home brew shop anywhere near they will give you good advice for wines etc. But as TS says, have a search through this thread, you will find plenty of ideas.Bob Leponge
