wilkinson cider kit

hiya, ive bought the fermenting tub from wilkinson and was wondering about keeping the lid on all the time for fermenting? i thought it produces gas from it while it ferments so you use an airlock??

I left mine on,but only partly sealed.

I leave mine on and release the build up if I am at home, if I am going out (or overnight) I leave it slightly unclipped which lets the gas out.

ive had it sealed on tight for nearly 2 days now, so would you recommend loosing it up a bit?

I've just bought one of those It's full of ale as we speak. The lid does bulge up a bit but all I've been doing is pushing it back down. The gas hisses out of the sides. I'm not sure it's entirely airtight, which is probably a good thing

haha i'll try it but i might push it too much and end up with cider everywhere!! maybe opening it a little is more of a better option for me!!!
