oi, I take issue with that! My other half wouldn't know how to drill a hole and insert a grommet: I do the DiY round here

TS, m'dear I feel your pain, my other half can't change a light bulb or cook(to my standard!) but I love her to bits, a girl gotta do what a girl gotta do!, as for the shoes and handbags!, my patience is wearing thin!......

Hi all just thought i would report back on how things are going. The plastic demijon is fine and my first lot of rhubarb wine is fermenting away. Lets not go into detail about following the recipe (i had a little disaster) but otherwise things are fine. I have since aquired 2 more demijons from a fellow allotment keeper and i plan on racking my wine for a second time later today as there is a lot of sediment on the bottom. I definately have caught the bug since i also have 12 litres of elderflower champagne on the go too. Thanks for all your advice.

Well done m'dear, home brewing is addictive, currently making 10 gallons Elderflower, 5 gal ginger wine and have just obtained 8 litres of "sour cherry nectar" 50% juice
