me again! I made a batch of wine loosely based on the tea bag recipe. 10 Blackcurrant tea bags, 2 cranberry and apple, 1 carton red grape juice and 1 carton of apple. It has been brewing away for nearly 2 weeks and it tastes horrible. It has an after taste similar to cheap vodka and the flavour of it tastes like it needs watering down. Does any one think it is saveable or worth while storing to see if it will improve? The sg was 1090 at the start and is now 995. Thank you

i might try and split it and see what happens if i add some water. When you drink it with water, (50/50) it tastes like a rose until the vodka taste hits you. Oh well i suppose it costs nothing to let it sit out of the way. Earl grey wine sounds good. I've got a pg tips one on the go. It's a bit sweet still, but currently tastes like sherry.

Bottle it and leave it for as long as it takes, I've made blackberry wine and it has a sort of acidic tang to it, but the recipe says to leave for at least 2 years.
BTW my mum was clearing out her garage the other day and she found a bottle of blackberry wine they made 24 years ago. She said she tasted it and thought it a bit sweet then poured the rest down the drain
