I am awaiting 2 Solomon Grundy kits...chardonnay and rose. Has anyone tried and tested these?

Both are nice (in the Gold variety though I am told the regular ones are not quite as good) but as Carol says, if you like dry wine don't add any sugar at the end.Last edited by shirlthegirl43; 08-06-2010, 06:52 PM.Happy Gardening,

I have tried the Solomon Grundy wine kits and found them to be passable but not great value for money, a much cheaper alternative is wine No1 or Easy Wine as some call it, 1ltr white grape juice, 1ltr other fruit juice(apple&banana nectar is good), 700g sugar, champagne yeast, 1tsp nutrient, water to 1gal, mix and place in fermenting vessel, has been known to finish fermenting in 5 days!Eat well, live well, drink moderately and be happy (hic!)
