                  Fi is correct.
Distilling spirits in the UK is illegal- and site rules stop us from going into any discussion as how to do this.

However-the drink braders has linked isn't distilled...and therefore can't be real whisky.
As binley suggests- it's an alcoholic 'whisky' flavoured drink.

Just a thought braders- why not ask them about it on their forum- and let us know what they say- or contact them direct- there's a phone no to contact them.

You could always try making a rice and raisin wine. Once its fermented out, it will taste the same as whisky although you made need to drink more than one bottle to have the same hangover effect as whisky!
                      Built for comfort, not speed!

I have some on the go at them moment a Prohibition vodka/whiskey and white rum. They are no more than a glorified wine with flavouring. The object when fermenting is to ahieve about 20% but so far I have not got anything like that. The vodka is stored and I must admit added to a cola/sprite it still has quite a kick.

As the others have said, it definitely won't be real whisky. That has to be distilled.

Malted barley is distilled then kept for at least 8years in oak barrels to be any good.
The mash that is distilled is basically beer without any hops, the flavour of each type is dictated by the size and shape of each still and then the barrels add colour and flavour dependant on what was previously in the barrel. Then the environment can add to the flavour as the barrels breathe.
So you need to make some beer, distill it in a decent sized still, about ten foot high is ideal. Now you need a barrel that's been used for sherry or port. Finally you need to store it some where for about eight years where there's no polluted air.Oh and you need to do all of this without the man from the customs and excise finding out.
