Good luck! My apple and raisin was one of the best i made, very drinkable, and i didnt even leave it 3 months, by the time i strained mine there was alot of sediment to clear but it dropped out nicely.

Thanks CC - it's a bit fingers crossed with me and winemaking, I'm not yet into the fine art of, but it smells good at the moment
Five gallons and enough apples to make the same twice over if I had enough DJs.

I could send you a bottle of my raisin 2009 that is in the garage, it burns the throat a little, i'm giving it another few years!
apple and raisin was lovely though, theres alot of nice kits out there as well which do cost more but are well worth it, and cheaper than shop bought wine.

I wanted to make some cider but I needed a press and all the gizmos so wine appealed!

I'm hoping to make a press next year, needs to be one that will do apples and cheese. I had planned on making cider but I really like the sound of your wine.

Thanks Ananke, I will let you know how it turns out. Mr VVG has started to make a crossbeam press, plans on the Internet, just google - I reckon it will be ready in time for the 2020 apple harvest!!! I fancy making fruit and soft cheeses so a press would be great.
