after nearly a week of feeding my ginger beer plant , today I realised for the past day or two or even longer I've been feeding it with cinnamon instead of ginger ......Cinnamon beer anyone? or shall I just bin it.?

You may have discovered a new taste sensation - cinnager beer. I think it sounds quite appetising. Go back to the normal feed now and see what happens - but don't blame me if its awful!
I would echo what veggie has said - go back to feeding with ginger and have a taste when you would normally stop feeding.
You will soon be able to tell if the cinnamon has overpowered the ginger, although I would be surprised if it did as ginger is a very sharp spicy taste that may even benefit from a little sweetness.
Let us know how you get on - I could be interested in repeating your accident if it works.
It has only one day left before the next step .......do I make up a batch using what I've got and then start a fresh batch using the correct ingredients or do I just bin the cinnamon stuff and start afresh .......I could've been using cinnamon all bl'ddy week as far as I'm aware .....
*note to self ......there's a reason you have glasses. use them ......
I've decided to make it up tomorrow . Will let you know the out come . My mate's lad (when he'd stopped laughing) has said he'll have it if I don't like it .......

Some days it's hardly worth chewing through the restraints!
