Raspberryade
Ingredients:
4 pints water
1 pint raspberry syrup
RASPBERRY SYRUP
2 quarts fresh raspberries
2 pounds granulated sugar
2 cups water
Directions:
Place ice in a pitcher or punch bowl. Add the berry syrup and water; stir well. Makes 20 servings.
RASPBERRY SYRUP: Wash the berries, mash and strain the juice through a jelly bag. Boil the sugar and the water to a soft ball stage, 234F. Slowly add the fruit juice and boil again. Skim off any foam, then pour into hot sterilized jars, seal, then refrigerate until used.

Raspberry lemonade
I think I know what you mean, its like old fashioned pink lemonade. I'm sure I've seen a recipe somewhere, probably Mrs Beeton, but my copy isn't the complete book. Basically you need a lemonade recipe and then you just mix to taste with raspberry syrup made from Andrew's recipe. I think its a case of experiment and taste. Oh Mrs B does say that Lemonade is improved by adding sherry - if that's any help.

I've just looked up the recipe for Schnapps and it seems quite starightforward. A bit like the old gin thing. Equal volumes gin, fruit and sugar, shake the bottle around every so often for six months or so then strain and bottle. This works with blackberries, plums, damsons, passionfruit and raspberries. (probably others too, this is just tested to date - in the interest of science I'm thinking of testing apricots and nectarines this year)
My father in law tried chilli vodka and left the chilli's in for six months - I'm thinking I might be able to dilute it and use it as weed killer
