  • Re bottling a cider kit

    Hi,

We bottled a cider made from a kit but the sediment at the bottom of the bucket had been disturbed by stirring flavouring sachet in. Could we empty it out again, allow the sediment to settle again and then syphon back into the bottles. And should we put a little more sugar in each bottle to try and get a bit of fizz back in?

Thank you! It's our first cider kit so still finding our feet...

Either that or pour carefully. Even though I try to avoid sediment, after adding sugar and crowning, I still end up with a tiny bit of sediment at bottom of each bottle. I just pour carefully in one go . Tastes fine and sediment stays in bottle if you pour carefully and smoothly in one go.

All the best and congrats on first batch
Never test the depth of the water with both feet

The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory....

Always remember you're unique, just like everyone else.
