Hello. I made gooseberry wine a few weeks ago. The destructions said to rack off into a clean demijohn when the fizzing ended. This coincided with DH filching my racking off hose thingy for something he was making, and then it took me longer than it should have to get a replacement (I literally bought the last one to be hand in town).
Long and short of it is the wine's been sat for far longer than it should have with the sediment in the demijohn. Will this have wrecked it? I'll rack it off anyway this afternoon.
