      Hi There

I have got mead from a family run company in wales before: www.thehoneyfarm.co.uk they charge a flat rate for postage no matter how much you order and do a good range of flavoured and tradtional meads, its lovely. Or you could try Lyme bay wines who do traditonal and christmas meads.

If you find any others let me know as I spent ages looking too!

        thank you for your reply,
unfortunately i work an average of 70 hours a week so the only time i have is in garden and with children so i like to buy, although if work does die down in future I'd love to give it a go.

ratglass I'll look at the site you sent to me thank you

Moniack castle is rated by many as some of the best mead around. Its just down the road from me too, at Inverness. Don't know if I'll have time to stop in and get some, but coincidentally I was planning to go there next week on my way down to Derby... are we going to the same event perchance?!

so if anyone makes and would like to sells some
Not wanting to ruin anyone's parade but unless the brewer is fully registered with customs and excise as a commercial enterprise this would be very illegal and likely to end in tears

On the plus side, I can highly recomned www.thehoneyfarm.co.uk as mentioned earlier. Also http://www.lindisfarne-mead.co.uk/ is meant to be good.

Jaxom! Long time no see! How are you keeping?

I made mead this year (or technically, making - it's still work in process) using the most local honey I could find, it's a long slow process with mead though so it might be next year before I get to try any! It's well worth the effort though.
