Sorting out the cellar yesterday I came across a few preserving jars dated 2010 and 2013!
....packed full of fruit in alcohol!
The did say 'put aside for a few months in a dark, frost fee place'
I spent what could only be described as a 'merry couple of hours' straining and decanting them.
I now am well stocked up with 14 x 70 cl bottles of various fruit spirits!
Black cherries in Calva ( cherry brandy)
wild cherries in gin
'44' ( apple brandy with orange and coffee)
Mixed garden berries in vodka
'add sugar to taste'... te he...tiddled ?...moi????...well yes I was!...just a tad
