biodegradable freezer bags ???

Anyone recommend any ?
I do try and wash and re-use as many freezer bags as possible, but I'd like to buy some biodegradable ones. Not really looked around , but would welcome any tried and tested suggestions please!

Yep- that's the sort of thing!
Anyone use ones from the supermarkets which they can recommend???
( I ask because I bought some biodegradable bin bags a couple of years ago ....forgot where I'd put them...and found a clump of what looked like confetti in one of my storage baskets!!!! ( clearly it had done exactly what it was supposed to do- but more quickly than I'd expected!!)

I have only recently found compostable bags for my kitchen caddy at my local supermarket. I don't use freezer bags but use plastic tubs instead so have no experience of those sorry.

I've used them, only found them in a small size - and yes, found out the hard way that if you use them to store small amounts of seeds, nuts etc, they do turn to confetti.
Also think that for long term freezer storage, they are not strong enough, got freezer burn last year on peas and broad beans. Went back to ordinary this year and it didn't happen
I did find some potato starch plastic containers in Lakeland though.
Now try and collect any plastic pots, containers that can be reused - Very annoying though when manufactures don't use plastic lids, best ones are ricotta cheese tubs.

Also found greaseproof bag type things in Lakeland so if I've made something like bread rolls or muffins, can put them in the bags and then only use one plastic bag to keep the lot in. Can then add greaseproofed bag muffin or roll to packed lunch and put used bag on the compost heap.

You can also get recycled aluminium foil which is another alternative, that can be endlessly again when used or if still clean reused.

Best way is to collect plastic tubs with lids. I'm all for biodegradable, but not when it's holding my precious produce in my freezer.

I prefer to use tubs as you say then I can reuse over and over again as oppose to the bags which can only be used once even if they do then biodegrade. Our freezer is full of all sorts of random tubs which used to contain ice cream, margarine etc etc etc
