If you want smaller bottles (250ml) and you need quite a few, look at the link below, it's where OH gets her jam jars from and they are very good. If you are buying 24 bottles, they work out less than a quid each

eBay.co.uk Shop - Emet Packaging: Glass Bottles: 250ml Round Oil Sauce Dorica Glass Bottle 6 with Caps

Tesco cider vinegar 350mls are cheaper (around 45p). Also try Freecycle.co.uk - I requested jam jars on Freecycle and was given loads. It's worth asking as other jam/cordial makers may have spares to give away. I'm collecting beer bottles - and buying new corks from the homebrew shop.

I went round the estate yeasterday asking all my particular mates ( the ones that know i am a nutter and still talk to me) they are saving me all their jars and lids, glass bottles etc. rather than sticking them in recycling bins, that way i get the pick, keep what i want, and recycle the rest!
pays to ask, they might think you are mad but they will love you anyway.

oooh and my mum just rang from the cupboard under the stairs, she is still clearing out after my dad died earlier this year, she found his fermentation bin and 5 demijohns, he he, I'm stoked.
