Now I need a Pear Chutney Recipe

My pears trees didn't produce anything this year but I managed to pick up some huge pears half price at the supermarket today. I'd like to make some Pear Chutney to go nicely with pate. Anyone have a tried and tested recipe?All the recipes I've had so far from Grapes have been great, thanks.

Flum, made your Apple and Date Chutney this weekend, it's tucked away in a cupboard now maturing nicely.

Lidl had all their fruit and veg half price, including large mangoes for 37p and pineapples for 49p.

I'd use an apple chutney recipe and just substitute. I rarely use recipes just as printed but add or subtract ingredients. Just make sure your weights are right - weight of fruit/veg, weight of sugar, amount of vinegar etc.
