Im going to grow gurkins for the first time and wondered if there was anything anybody thinks i should know or do before i start and where i can get a good supply of pickling vinegar from

Not sure on the gurkin growing but thought they were a bit similar to cucumbers,ie need a sunny wall or poly tunnel/greenhouse, i did grow cucumbers this year outside but they had a very tough skin.In summer i got pickling vinegar on a 2 for 1 from booths, maybe keep your eye out for specials as its a bit out of season they may be trying to get rid of it and you could stock up

I got a 5L bottle from my local asian supermarket for £3.50. don't buy "non-brewed condiment" stuff instead I read somewhere that it is, somehow, a derivative of the petrochemical industry. YUK!!Bright Blessings
