  • Tomato Sauce

    I keep reading about bottling tomato sauce. I have always frozen it, being unsure of my ability to keep it sterile and thus not poison my family. Does anybody know how can I store this in old jam jars or oil bottles without the resultant moulds causing havoc and death.

    You can do if you're ultra careful about sterilising everything, OS, but tbh you'd be safer freezing it.

      If you type in to the search facility on here "canning" you will get many results and lots of interesting reading.
      If my toms have survived the heat, I shall be bottling as many as I can this year to keep space in my freezer. Good luck.
