Do you want proper labels, i.e. with sticky back or do you want to create your own and apply the adhesive etc. If create your own there is a label here from Microsoft Just can it! Preserve summer fruits and vegetables - Microsoft Home Magazine (Note these are for Word 2007 so you will need to download the office compatability pack if your version of Word is older, download from here Download details: Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 File Formats) , also some free labels here http://www.pickyourown.org/labelsforyourjars.htm

Minor thread hijack here. The Avery labels always seem a B****r to remove afterwards. Anyone know of a source of water soluble laser printer friendly labels?Cider, Vegetables and Sussex sustainability blogged at www.ciderhousepress.com

I'm being really dim, I'm sure, but I can't find any nice label downloads, nor can I find what I want (8460) on the Avery website.

Oh yes, that helped. I have now SAVED AS these labels, changed the wording and the pictures, using clip art.

I make my own on the computer, print them onto plain copy paper and cut them out. I then stick them on with sellotape which comes off easily and leaves no nasty residue. Using this method you make them plain or ornate, or anything in between, and include as much information as you wish too. The cost is minimal.

I'm just bumping this (before somebody posts the question without doing/after giving up on the vine search*) and adding this link JAM LABELIZER - Design your own jam labels. There are two freebies here and it's $5 if you want access to all of the ones shown. (NB you don't get access to any more than you can see if you sign up.)
*Someone will now do a search and point out that the Labelizer is in another thread! I'm sure it was once but was posted by the person who sells it so maybe yaken out."A life lived in fear is a life half lived."
PS. I just don't have enough time to say hello to everyone as they join so please take this as a delighted to see you here!
