Apple juice.

After having a very resourcesful day today I have juiced all my windfall apples and filled lots of little bottles(with htis wind there will be lots more tomorow!!) .

But i wondered if i could freeze these to use slowely and when defroseted how long before i have to use?? I realise as with all juices they have more goodness in them the sooner they are used but cant poss drink it all at once!!

And help?

I cant really advise on this one Annie, but I do know that the Tesco organic ones say on the packaging that they can be frozen with no problems whatsoever, and they contain no flavourings or preservatives, so I shouldnt think it would be a problem. As to how quickly to use once they have been defrosted, about the same time as they would be if freshly prepared would be my instincts, but I'm no expert in this area! Sorry I cant be of any real help, but I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will be along shortly!

Its freezes very well and will last a good week when defrosted and kept in yon fridge.

Try some warmed through with a small stick of cinnamon. Tis gorgeous.

It freezes very well, I'm still using up the apple juice stockpile from last year!
I also pulped apples and froze it in small pots, this makes a very good base for cooking with other fruit like rhubarb, blackberries, gooseberries etc, add a knob of butter and some spice and you get a lovely thick fruit puree which is divine for making your own fruit yoghurts.
