  • freeze sponge cake?

I have just made a chocoloate courgette cake (recipe from internet not one of the many on here as it was really simple!). It made twice as much mixture as I thought it would and hence 2 cakes. bearing in mind me and OH are trying not to eat tooooo much cake can I freeze one?

If I do what is the best way to do it?

It is cooling on the rack now.

The first one has been cut into little squares and my 5 year old who is the fussiest person on the PLANET at the mo LIKED it - whoowhoooooooo. I didn't tell him there were courgettes in it though lol

Just freeze it, let it cool, put it in a bag and shove it in the freezer. Best way to defrost is back on the cooling rack with a clean tea towel over to protect. However, from the date of posting, am guessing you've already sorted it by now - or eaten!

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

I think the phrase you're looking for is "freeze Spongebob!"

It's the only way to get him to stop I believe.

Now, where's that nurse with my medication...
