I am trying to get hold of a copy of Jams,Pickles and Chutneys (The WI's best kept secrets) by Midge Thomas and I wondered if anyone has a copy that they not longer want. Not too bothered about the condition as it's just for me to use. I have looked on amazon and there is one there for £25 !!!! madness, I have tried to order one through waterstones but its on back order.

Can anyone help pwwwwease ??

I have the book and to be honest, it's OK but the Margarite Patten one is much better - The Basic Basics Jams, Preserves and Chutneys: Amazon.co.uk: Marguerite Patten: Books

I have the Marguerite Patten one OH found it when he was clearing out books. Nice recipes

Many thanks for all your responses. I have got a couple of jam making books including the river cottage one but I did read somewhere that the midge thomas one was really good. Perhaps I will take a look at the margueritte pattern one. It was just for something a bit different to make rather than the the normal preserves.

The River Cottage one is good too, they are the three I have and I use the Margueritte Pattern one the most with the RC one a clost second.
