I have pickled 2 lots, my husband loves them. I followed a recipe for normal cukes - cut them into segments, removed any tough seeds, salted them overnight, rinsed off next day then into pickling vinager. Seems to work ok
Yeah, have pickled in the past exactly as I would normally do gherkins. Simply sliced them as I would gherkins, salted overnight, washed, dried, jarred, added cold spiced vinegar, waited and enjoyed!
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
Are these the round yellow cucumbers? I grew these this year and they were prolific, must have had around 50 from 1 plant. Never thought of pickling them though. Doh!!
