I'm new to preserving and I thought I'd have a go at the chilli pepper jelly recipe in the River Cottage Preserves Handbook. It all seemed to be going fine, except it hasn't set in the jars. The remains in the pan and the dribbles down the sides of the jars all set solid though. I thought it might set overnight but it hasn't, so I'm left with a rather large batch of sweet chilli dipping sauce, which we don't really use. Is it possible to rescue it?
