Food Dehydrators - any thoughts ?

Hi, Does anyone have any experience or recommendations regarding food dehydrators. There seem to be various one on the web with wildly varying price tags.
Vigo do one and and outfit called UK juicers do several.
They seem a great way to preserve abundant fruit in particular.
Any thoughts welcome, as with so many things reccomendation / experiences valued.
