  • Apple and Cardamom Chutney

I almost made this last week, and it's amazing! (Hope it's okay to add the link instead of copying out the recipe)

"Almost" - because I doubled the amounts, replaced the cinnamon sticks with a level teaspoon of cinnamon per stick in the recipe; used chopped sultanas instead of raisins (hadn't got any, and don't like sultanas 'popping' in the mouth) and used distilled white vinegar because I hadn't got any cider vinegar.

It's a lovely 'warm' chutney, and is ready to eat within a few days.

      It is!

It's gone! Almost as quickly as the courgette chutney, because they've discovered that it goes with hot meat, cheese, cold meat or pate!

After preparing the apples it only take about half an hour to cook, which is a good thing because I've got to make some more!
