    Another 4lb of rhubarb and ginger jam ......yesterday it was dried apple rings and frozen roasted red peppers (they were a woopsie in Asda )

      7 500ml jars of ratatoulli, sterlized. All ingredients home grown!!

            Over the last few days - 13 small jars French bean and Tomato Relish, 8 large jars pickled courgettes red pepper and chilli and 8 large jars Piccalli. Everything home grown except the cauli for the piccalli.

              got 2 days off work to get some done - so far -
              6 jars raspberry and plum jam,
              6 jars spiced winter jelly
              6 jars strawberry peach jam
              3 jars apricot jam
              piccalli veg salting as we speak
              runner bean and courgette chutney cooking.........................still..................!!!!!

              tomorrow.....
              damson jelly
              hedgerow jelly
              damson chutney
              hot yellow plum chutney
              marrow and ginger jam

              and whatever else I get round too!!!!!!

              Happy times....

              house smells lovely!

                    Any advice, I have about a dozen green hot peppers, too hot for us to eat but I dont want to throw them away. Dont know what to do with them

                      Hi Stella this happened to me with my plum and apple jam even though it had reached setting point, so I tipped it all back into the pan added a little more suger and some lemon juice and heated it slowly for the suger to dissolve and then reboiled it just checked the jars now and it has set. xx

                            just got a load of cheappo strawbs from t@@@@s so planning on making some strawb and plum - strawbs were 20p a punnet (british too!)
