More blackberries and there's a shed load of elderberries around here and at my mum's. I think I may make VC's cordial this year.

From the roundabout I think you're on about, railing on your left hand side - down to a small roundabout where you can turn left to Virgin - opposite that roundabout there's a small lane - down there - walked left, with river on my right hand side - came to a bridge - spotted it all along there! If you cross the bridge, turn left again, then that's where I saw more elderberries!
There's some sloes by the mini roundabout, where you turn down into matrix park - you'll see an exchange box (green telecommunications thingy) - just to the left of that I think they are. Or maybe right.. can't quite see from my window

Finally managed to beat a path through the my-height brambles to the damsons I could just see over my allotment fence. Only got just over a kilo though, as most were out of reach.
I'm hoping I have enough for wine, added to the plums I got dead cheap and froze a few months ago, and the double handful of sloes I've found. I think someone else beat me to the sloes, was hoping to get more...
I think I'm going rosehipping and rowaning in the next few days too, not sure what to do with them yet, but the rowans especially are looking so tempting, just at the corner of my street, and there's a good 8 trees, all laden, so I can't see anyone missing a few berries...

Its really up to you to get a positive ID as you are the one with the plant! I've given you my best guess and I wouldn't eat it.

If it is Guelder Rose you could make a jelly.

Sloes whilst walking the doggies in the park. Loads of haws too, so thinking of ketchup maybe. Rosehips galore but I haven't been back for those... needed my secateurs.Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better...Albert Einstein
