I always purée blackberries, again, no sugar, 'cos I hate the seeds in them, and freeze, like Bren, in ice cube trays so I can just take out a cube or two as I want them.
eta I cook them first, then rub through a sieve. Sugar will act as a preservative for raw fruit, but unsugared will keep longer if cooked first.Last edited by mothhawk; 22-06-2013, 08:58 PM.Location - Leicestershire - Chisit-land

OK that's not very clear now I've read it. I mean cooked, unsugared fruit will keep longer than uncooked unsugared fruit. Can't say how long fruit with sugar will keep 'cos I don't use sugarLocation - Leicestershire - Chisit-land
