Oh great - I'll try that recipe. I've tried Green & Black's courgette cake recipe a couple of times but it's never been as nice as the first time I tasted it, when a friend made it. I'll give this recipe a go and hope for the best
Is there anything that isn't made better by half an hour pottering in the veg patch?
Sorry for being a bit thick....can i check the 8oz chocolate do you put that in with the dry ingredients? Its just the recipie states to sprinkle surface with chocolate but 8oz is a lot of sprinkle

Yes it is 8 oz! Sprinkle is not really the right word I agree, that's just how the recipe stated it! I just broke the choc into the little squares and laid it on top, I thought it wud melt into the cake, but it kind of stayed on the top, in a lovely thick topping! Next time I might try and break it into smaller pieces, or maybe use choc drops, but if you like choc, well what can I say. I think next time I might be a bit more heavy handed with the spices, but that's a personal choice thing.
It's just the cocoa powder that goes in with the dry ingredients, the chocolate is all on the top?
We don't eat 'cake' in our house! But it's all gone! Ha!
If you make it let me know if you like it, happy to hear suggestions!
When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it.
If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
